5. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials last week arrested a man seeking asylum in Anchorage, even though ICE admitted he doesn't have a criminal conviction.

6. Regional air carrier Ravn Alaska announced on its website Thursday that it was closing, effective immediately.
